Compensation – £17,500.00
Mr J.O was referred to this practice by a client of the firm. He was employed by a well-known firm of motor repairers.
On a day of the accident he was working on a car, which was located on a ramp. As he was concentrating and busy on working underneath the bonnet of the car a colleague of his had raised the ramp some 7.ft to 8.ft. Mr J.O completed his work turned round to walk off the ramp when he fell some 7 to 8 feet. Unbeknown to him it had been raised to this height.
Mr J.O had suffered injuries to his legs and lower back. We obtained a report from an orthopaedic consultant and prepared a detailed schedule of his financial losses.
We acted for Mr J.O under a no-win-no-fee agreement. We had purchased for him a Legal Expense Cover in the event that he was liable for any of the others sides cost Legal Expense cover would have paid. After two years of arguing with their insurers, they fully accepted the claim and offered to settle his claim for £17,500.00.
Mr J.O had come direct to us and as a result, his claim was properly and fully investigated and presented to his employers and settled within a timely fashion.
